The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for managing all aspects of accounts payable operations including timely and accurate invoice processing and payment, system functionality, recordkeeping, and vendor relationship management. Responsible for developing, maintaining, and executing accounts payable policies and procedures in accordance with company policy and GAAP guidelines. Ensures the accounts payable function operates in an effective and efficient manner by automating workflows and processes wherever possible.
Associates Degree in Business. Minimum of three years of recent, relevant experience in a high volume and fast paced accounts payable processing environment. Must be proficient in the use of computer systems, including but not limited to, accounting systems, Microsoft applications such as Excel and Word and accounts payable automation software. The candidate chosen for this position must possess the following critical skills; strong attention to detail and organization skills, ability to process information accurately, high level of Accounting knowledge and mathematical skills, excellent problem solving and analytical skills, solid interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work under pressure, ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Professional demeanor and ability to handle confidential materials with discretion is necessary.
