Hours: Shifts vary. Nights and weekends required.
This position is based at our Transportation location in the Operations department. The Operations Supervisor will assist with the supervision of daily driver operations of a Paratransit/Elderly Transportation Department. This includes accident/incident investigation, performing quality control inspections and ensuring overall that a quality service is provided safely. Strong communication verbally and in writing policy, procedures, reports, statistics and complaints. Reports and investigates complaints as necessary. Communicates and follows Agency policies in a manner which contributes to the mission of the Agency. Responds and handles stressful situations without compromising service or quality. Able to use various computer programs (Word, Excel, Outlook and scheduling). Organizes self and workload in an effective and efficient manner. Displays flexibility with workload and schedule in order to meet department needs. Performs regular, unannounced driver performance inspections to assure operational policies and procedures are utilized as outlined in departmental Road Supervision Policy.
Qualifications: Supervisory experience required. Two (2) years' experience in transportation operations preferred. Must have a Massachusetts driver's license, a clean driving record and a minimum of 5 years U.S. driving experience. Strong computer skills and knowledge of GLSS' service area. Infant, Child, and Adult CPR and First Aid certified preferred.
