Responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on fleet vehicles, shop equipment, and the facility. This is a safety sensitive position. Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems and repair them. Evaluate and determine the appropriate parts for each vehicle repair. Perform road calls for tire repairs, changing tires, and minimum maintenance on the road. Maintain a clean and safe work environment.


High School Diploma. Must be at least 25 years of age. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Computer knowledge and working experience of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Fleet Maintenance. Minimum of three (3) years as an automobile mechanics. Previous paratransit vehicle maintenance preferred. Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds. Must have a valid Massachusetts driver's license, a clean driving record and a minimum of 5 years U.S. driving experience. Clean Driving Record.  No surchargeable accidents in the past 3 years. No moving violations within the past year. No DUIs, OUIs or DWIs.Must pass a basic English reading, writing and comprehension test. Must pass a pre-employment background check including but not limited to Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) check. Ability to obtain at a minimum a one year DOT Card and pass a pre-employment drug test. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.


Full Time, 40 hours per week
