Duties:

The Silsbee Tower Resident Services Coordinator (RSC) ensures that residents receive the supportive services needed to maintain their independence, and integrates social and recreational activities into the housing facility. Requires an ability to meaningfully engage residents and collaterals, a thorough knowledge of available community services, an understanding of both formal and informal support systems, and an ability to interface and collaborate with those systems to ensure the consumers' needs are met. The position entails extensive coordination, follow-up, and feedback to consumers and service providers, as well as record keeping in compliance with regulations. The RSC also works closely with staff of Silsbee Tower Associates L.P. property management regarding potential and current tenants, to support the development and maintenance of a strong culture of community within the residence. The RSC contributes to the GLSS Consumer Services
team to ensure the provision of consumer directed services to older adults, people with disabilities, and their caregivers according to the Mission, Vision, and values of GLSS.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in human services or related field. Must have knowledge of the social service delivery system. Two or more years' experience working with older adults and/or people with disabilities is required. Knowledge and experience related to older adults and people with disabilities, their support needs, and the challenging issues related to family housing. A valid driver's license and a reliable form of transportation are required. Bilingual - Spanish speaking is a must.

Hours:

Full Time, 40 hours per week (Monday-Friday)
